Our Semi-Annualversary in a Nutshell

Hello, you!
It's nice to be able to sit and type out my thoughts for the night. My bae and I went to San Fransisco to celebrate our six month marker. I had a blast. We strolled the streets in rainy weather sharing an umbrella that was so difficult to close! We went to the wharf to enjoy delicious clam chowder bread bowls! We ate outside under a little overhang. So cute. =)
Yum!
After we finished our amazing meal, we saw Santa Claus! He seemed way too happy to just be sitting in the middle of a bread factory. But it was awesome!
We took a stroll to the chocolate factory and came out with amazing white chocolate (my fav). Then we drove around looking for the Grace Cathedral. I find it absolutely stunning. Turns out you can't make a left turn in SF so we got really frustrated. I gave up looking for it. We were driving on California St toward Japan town and drove right by it (So if you wanna know, it's on California and Taylor). Oh boy. San Fransisco is not the place to drive. It's horrible. I was in the passenger seat getting super frustrated. Luckily we found Japan town relatively easy. We were super excited! I had never been there before so my man was excited to show me "his people." haha. I love him. He's a quarter Japanese.
Anywho. Wanna know my opinion on Japan town? So much better than China town. But I might be a little biased. ;)

All in all I had an amazing time in San Fransisco. I was sad to leave but we were going to the Oakland Temple. I mean, c'mon. Who wouldn't leave San Fransisco? The Temple is always so...peaceful. Everything just seems to work. Ya know? We weren't dressed to do work in the temple but we did go in the Visitors' Center for awhile. They have some beautiful photographs hanging there right now. I encourage everyone to go see them. Spectacular. There were two photographs that still tug at my heart strings. One was of angels being sent to Earth to minister. I thought of missionary work and those missionaries that I consider angels in my life. I am so blessed to be a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know there is no other place I need or want to be. I love this true Gospel. I love missionaries.
The second photograph was of our Savior after His resurrection. I started to cry. Knowing that a man, my brother, came here for the sole purpose of saving everyone else is so astounding. It humbles me. Who are we to deserve that? The imperfect people we are and the amazing perfection that Christ encompasses. It was so powerful. All I could hear as I looked at that photograph was "Follow me." Follow me. That's all I want to do. Follow our Savior. Follow our Star.
I am so grateful for the Atonement. It's hard to put my feelings into words. Knowing that I can live with my Father in Heaven because of the love and sacrifice of my brother Jesus Christ makes my whole being light and full of peace. I know I am going to see Him again. When I do, I'm going to thank Him.

I really hope you all listen to those angels sent by God. They definitely have something important to say.  So when in doubt, follow Him.
Au revoir.
