Remember those shows and movies you watched countless times as a child? Saturday morning rolls around and you climb out of bed in your favorite pjs, grab some delicious cereal, and lay in front of the t.v. for hours. Maybe after a while, a friend will come by and you'll change really fast to go play your favorite version of Tag (but that's a whole other trip down memory lane). When I was a wee lass, my family had an obsession with the cutest little show called Veggie Tales. It was full of fruit.... and Bible stories with fun little songs. I still sing songs from the show as I read through the stories of the Scriptures.Well tonight, I sat down with my laptop and watched my favorite episode. It is called "Rack, Shack, and Benny." This cute little story is a parallel to the Old Testament story of King Nebuchadnezzar and the golden idol. These three men refuse to bow down to this idol and get thrown into a furnace. In the end, they are protected by God and come out unharmed. It's one of my favorite Bible stories. Anywho. Anytime you have the chance to watch Veggie Tales, take it. You won't be sorry.
